Applied for a Senior Client Services Manager role. The process started well โ recruiter was responsive and the hiring manager call was genuinely interesting. Then came a 4-hour take-home task which I completed and submitted on time. Had a final technical panel with three other managers, felt it went well. Was told I'd hear back within a week. Three weeks later, nothing. Followed up twice by email. No response either time. The role is still listed on their website. Don't waste your time unless you enjoy doing free work for companies that can't be bothered to send a rejection email.
Tips for future candidates
Ask upfront how long the take-home task is expected to take and whether all candidates are given the same task. If they can't answer clearly, that tells you something. Always follow up in writing so you have a record.
